This session explores a more respectful and responsive approach to transitions in early childhood settings. Moving away from loud announcements and disruptive cues, we will consider how to gently invite children between experiences without interrupting deep, sustained play. Together, we’ll reflect on how subtle, intentional strategies can support smaller group interactions, strengthen engagement, and create calmer learning environments. We’ll also examine what this shift means for teaching teams - highlighting the need for thoughtful preparation, strong communication, and organised environments that enable smooth, child-centred transitions.
