Documentation WITH Children

Too often we leave children out of the equation when it comes to assessment and too often we rush to formalise documentation. What if documentation was an everyday practice that supported children's expression of their working ideas, thinking and theories? What if it was a tool we used to gather data to inform assessment? Let's walk slowly with documentation and allow the time and space to gather, think out loud and be more relaxed in the way we make things visible. This session will explore what it means to document children's perspective and make their ideas visible in ways that synthesis and give opportunities for reflection in learning.
