DOCUMENTATION INDUCTION
The KGlearning Approach® is a system for shared thinking, educator research and documentation of an early childhood program. It is a framework that embraces the principles of inquiry based learning within a context for teams to re-imagine the possibilities for observation, planning and organisation of the educational programs.
Documentation is an ongoing responsive act that includes questioning, insights and thinking of children, teaching teams and families. The KGlearning Approach® to documentation encourages educators to think and learn as well as put children at the centre of all they do – it is only through being able to listen closely that we can be responsive in a way that flames their curiosities.
Documenting what matters is critical to planning a program that motivates, excites and strengthens children’s learning opportunities – so this means learning to write less but say more as a welcomed practice.
